1. U.S. lawmakers have nominated jailed Uyghur academic and blogger Ilham Tohti to receive the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize. Ilham has been sentenced to life in prison for "separatism".

- अमेरिकी सांसदों ने चीन में जेल में बंद उइगर विद्वान इल्हाम तोतही को नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार 2019 के लिये नामित किया है। इल्हाम अलगाववाद के आरोप में आजीवन कारावास की सजा काट रहे हैं।

2. Former umpire Dara Dotiwalla, who officiated in the famous tied Test match between India and Australia in 1986 at Chennai, died. He was 85.

- भारत और आस्ट्रेलिया के बीच 1986 में चेन्नई में खेले गये ऐतिहासिक टाई टेस्ट मैच में अंपायरिंग करने वाले पूर्व भारतीय अंपायर दारा दोतीवाला का निधन हो गया। पारिवारिक सूत्रों ने यह जानकारी दी। वह 85 वर्ष के थे।
